David Connolly has industry experience beyond his 25 years. At 17, David had song-writing ties with major record labels Atlantic Records and EMI, BBC Radio 1 airplay and toured nationally with some of the UK’s biggest indie bands.

David went on to graduate from the University of Salford with a first class honours degree gained on the prestigious PMR course whose alumni include the bands Everything Everything, The Ting Tings, Delphic and Ivor Novello winning composer Ian Livingstone.

In 2011 David moved to London to work  as a media composer. His talent was immediately recognised and was quickly signed as one of the lead in-house music composers for Emmy award winning Radium Audio. At Radium, David worked on the global theme for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, Sky Sports News Theme, EE sonic logo, a James Bond cinema promo and a long list of commercials including Coca Cola, BMW and Game of Thrones. David developed a talent for sonic branding after developing idents for Sky Sports, Sky Atlantic and Sky Arts. An early accolade in his career was being part of the Radium in-house team that won an Emmy, Promax UK and a Music & Sound Award.

Today working freelance from his studio in London Bridge, David counts international agencies and broadcasters among his clients. His most recent credits include creating music for the launch of the new Jaguar XE.

David’s passion for creating strong, recognisable melodic hooks and themes has gained him a solid industry reputation as has his development of bold, rich and textural electroacoustic sound worlds.
