Adam’s multitude of talent spreads from both sides of the musical spectrum, from his ability to compose music of various genre with a keen understanding of colour and instrumentation, to his ability to professionally mix and master his own music to that of a high standard. He is a graduate of Music Production and Sound Engineering at Sunderland University.
Adam began his musical journey as a drummer and co-songwriter for the North East rock ‘n roll band Revolver, he quickly began writing his own music and expanding his musical repertoire. He began a six year self study of orchestration and composition, studying the great film composers of past and present, whilst broadening his instrumental ability from piano to writing full orchestral works.
After scoring various student films, Adam was asked to score a short film funded by Bryan Singer called Arrangement of Thorns, which went on to be successful at the Marbella Film Festival and the Little Dracula Film Festival in Romania as well as being chosen for the BFI Flare. This score sparked the interest of various directors and producers and opened up doors to more shorts and TV work including Guin and the Dragon for BBC2, written by BAFTA Award-winning writers Oliver Smyth and Andrew McCaldon.
Currently Adam resides in his home studio in London where he is scoring the action movie called Acheron featuring Faye Tozer.
“Your music did a brilliant job of conveying the emotion, drama and magic of the story and certain moments were made very powerful by your careful understanding of what the score needed to do.” – Andrew McCaldon, BAFTA Award Winner
“Adam provided ‘Guin and the Dragon’ with an astonishing soundtrack, composed and delivered in just 10 days. He worked extremely well with myself and the director, responding positively to feedback, and understanding exactly the right tone for this children’s fantasy drama. He’s now my composer of choice!” – Guy Lambert, BBC Producer
